Expectations of Students

You will be expected to:

Attend the workplace on the dates you have organised
Be punctual, both in getting there and when returning after breaks
Have a positive attitude towards the work you are doing and show you are interested in the work in this field
Dress as you have been instructed by the workplace
Behave appropriately at all times
Always follow the Workplace Health & Safety instructions discussed in the orientation to the worksite
Use the employer's property carefully and take care of it
Always ask for help if you do not understand the instructions given to you
Follow the routine of the workplace
While you are in the workplace, leave your personal problems at home
Complete your record of daily activities each day -when the activities that you have completed are still fresh in your mind
Remember to thank the supervisor and the staff you have worked with at the end of your work experience. They are not paid to have you but have contributed to your education, development of skills and have helped in making you work-ready. (A letter / note of thanks is recommended)
Turn off your mobile phone while at the work site
Discourage friends from attending your work place

I agree that I will not convert to any person outside the host employer's workplace, any knowledge or information of a confidential nature which is gained in the course of this work experience.

I will at all times show loyalty to the host employer. I understand the seriousness of any breach of this Confidentially Agreement.

Failure to maintain confidentiality may result in the immediate termination of the work experience, disciplinary action by the school and possible legal action by the employer, depending on the seriousness of the breach.
